The Open CD

The Open CD is a collection of open source software for Microsoft Windows. We believe you'll find the productivity and design tools on this CD especially useful for helping maintain your website. There are a total of 33 software titles on the CD, including:

	Open Office A full-featured office suite including a word processor, spreadsheet, and presentation program, comparable to Microsoft Office.
	Mozilla Firefox A secure, user-friendly, standards compliant Web browser.
	Mozilla Thunderbird A modern, secure email client with support for multiple email accounts, RSS feeds, newsgroups and much more.
	GIMP A bitmap image editing program with similar capabilities to Adobe Photoshop.
	Inkscape A vector image editing program with simliar capabilities to Adobe Illustrator.
	Audacity An audio editing program suitable for preparing sound files (e.g. mp3) for the web.
	NVU An HTML editor which generates clean HTML.
	GAIM An instant messaging program supporting AIM, ICQ, MSN Messenger, Yahoo!, IRC, and Jabber protocols.
	PDF Creator A utility to create PDF files from any Windows program.
