What are my email server settings?
First, please start by watching our video on how to set up your email accounts. You will need these settings:
| Incoming mail server type: | POP3 or IMAP | |
| Incoming mail server: | mail.sunburnt.com.au | |
| Outgoing mail server: | mail.sunburnt.com.au | ** |
| Username: | <your full email address> | |
| Password: | <your email password> |
The incoming and outgoing mail servers both use the same username and password.
** Many ISPs require that you use their own outgoing mailserver. If ours does not work for you, try the following outgoing mail servers:
| Optus: | mail.optusnet.com.au |
| Telstra: | mail.bigpond.com |
What is the difference between POP and IMAP email?
POP email is stored locally on your computer and deleted from our server when you download it. IMAP email is stored permanently on our server.
