Posted by Roger Keays, 16 July 2007 At Sunburnt Web Services, we began development on our own inhouse Content Management System (CMS) mostly because of the disappointing performance and confused design that seemed to be pervasive in all the existing products we tried.
Well, after being in operation for a few years, we've found the performance of our Site Manager CMS is fantastic, and the lean design has made it possible for us to develop and distribute add-on modules without messily hacking the core system.

We've made some changes to our web statistics reports to make them more accurate, less confusing, and generally more useful. Our new report now fits onto four pages and includes more information about:
- your search terms
- your referrers
- your most popular pages
- your visitors' home countries
- error pages
Particularly, the countries statistics is now much more accurate. We've also removed much of the less useful data such as daily 'hits', and lists of IP addresses / host names.
